This last lot of rain has been very very welcome but has been the end of what was left of my autumn show of roses. Most have lost a lot of leaf too. Just to cheer myself I found this photo I'd taken a couple of season's ago of the beautiful climber "Madame Grégoire Staechelin" and fashioned it into a desktop wallpaper.
Unfortunately she is not one of "mine" but one of many really wonderful roses in the rose garden at Newtown Park at nearby Toowoomba cared for by our local rose enthusiasts.
She is a truely beautiful rose with quite strong fragrance originally bred in Spain and often also going by the name "Spanish Beauty" or "La Belle Espagnole"
